"Selected for CBC's Summer Showcase 2024: Imagination Celebration ""Book will definitely appeal to children curious about this topic."" —Librarian ""Each aspect is explained in short text blocks that will hold a reader's interest. The illustrations are realistic and capture this civilization."" —Pamela G., NetGalley-Librarian ""I would have adored this as a child, and certainly would have read and reread this book. The illustrations are very helpful, and do a good job of showing what the artifacts looked like, as well as the settings in which they were found and used. There are funny touches, like the mummified cat and the rats, who show up in unusual places, but in general, there is a real effort to replicate the museum setting and to use the illustrations in an informative way."" —Karen Yingling, YA Books Central ""I adored how appealing the images and story made this book. I find it hard to find fun educational books that younger children are drawn to, but this one fits the bill."" —NetGalley-Educator ""While on this quest we get to learn so many amazing facts and information about Egypt, the country, the people and the culture. I loved this fun story and so did my children. It made learning so much fun. It was written in a creative and exciting way that captivates us. The story was easy to follow and understand. The bright and colorful illustrations really bring out the magic of this little adventure. We can’t wait to add this to our home library. Enjoy this little adventure with your family."" —Katie W., NetGalley-Reviewer ""This book was fun! I loved the mummy cat that served as a tour guide throughout the museum, specially the section on ancient Egypt. The book covered many topics about life in ancient Egypt— ancient Egyptian houses, food, mummification, writing, etc!"" —NetGalley-Educator ""A touch of magic and a curious kitty make it fun to explore all sorts of historical tidbits about ancient Egypt, which go beyond the usual dates and facts. The text speaks to the reader, giving it a conversation direction, and this also helps to keep a lighter atmosphere. The illustrations are well done and help to bring the information across with more clarity. The details add a better idea as to what life was like at the time, while also tossing in a bit of humor and fun. It's an enjoyable read, which keeps the audience level in mind, while offering quite a bit of information. Readers will come out knowing more about Egypt and the culture, and it does offer a rounded foundation for more solid facts in the future."" —Tonja R Drecker ""Kids will love that different characters from King Tut, a mummy cat, and a mouse relay information in dialogue bubbles. Fun!"" —Imagination Soup Blog ""Ada and I have been absolutely enchanted by ""Magical Museum: Ancient Egypt"". Ada has been learning all about mummies, tombs, Pharaohs, and hieroglyphics thanks to this interactive adventure. The book features the cutest tour guide—a charming black cat on every page! Along the way, we learned fascinating facts about ancient Egypt and even met Tutankhamun and the archaeologist who discovered him."" —Read with a Rescue, IG "
