Sandra Paikowsky, C.M., is a senior historian of Canadian art. She is considered the authority on the Venetian paintings of James Wilson Morrice and has lectured on his work in Canada, the United States and Venice. She was the co-founder, publisher, and managing editor of the Journal of Canadian Art History / Annales d'histoire de l'art canadien for nearly four decades. In the 1980s and early 1990s, she was the director-curator of the Concordia Art Gallery, organising numerous exhibitions on Canadian art and writing the accompanying publications.
