Author, speaker, and domestic violence survivor, Dr. Char Newbold has been an advocate for women and children for over 15 years. She understands personally the complexities associated with intimate partner violence and the unique support needed to help women affected by abusive relationships. As a respected speaker, Dr. Newbold provides domestic violence training and education to secular and faith-based organizations. As a voice representing victims, she helps bring awareness of domestic violence dynamics to first responders, medical staff, court personnel, community members, and faith leaders. Additionally, she ministers to survivors of intimate partner violence locally, nationally, and internationally. She is committed to raising up other survivors and caring individuals as advocates to insure no victim has to suffer the effects of abuse alone. To assist the faith-based community, Dr. Newbold has written a domestic violence handbook for faith leaders entitles The Church's Response to Domestic Violence.
