Meng Yan In 1999, MENG Yan co-founded URBANUS with partners LIU Xiaodu and WANG Hui. As Principal in charge of Design of URBANUS, MENG Yan has led numerous design projects over the years. These projects have won an international reputation for URBANUS, including Luohu Art Gallery, Dafen Art Museum, Artron Art Center, Tulou Collective Housing, OCT Art & Design Gallery, OCT-LOFT Renovation, Maillen Hotel & Apartment, Nanshan Marriage Registration Center, Library of South University of Science and Technology of China, and Zhongdian Complex. Recently he is overseeing the completion of OCAT(B10 Renovation)and SHUM YIP UpperHills LOFT. Many of his built works have become new landmarks of urban life winning prestigious architecture awards, as well as being exhibited and published worldwide. MENG Yan has also led many urban design and research projects, such as Hubei Old Village Urban Regeneration Research, Huaqiangbei Catic City Urban Design and Shanghai Hotel Renovation, Baishizhou 5 Villages Urban Regeneration Research, as well as Preservation & Regeneration of Qianmen East Hutong Area, etc. MENG Yan's work has long focused on the key issues of China's urban development, including social and cultural issues of rapid urbanization, high-density urban building typologies, Urban Villages, and urban regeneration researches. He also serves as an expert consultant to the government in the field of urban development. MENG Yan is an architect licensed in New York State. He received his Bachelor and Master's degrees of Architecture from Tsinghua University, and Master's degree of Architecture from Miami University. He has been a design critic in many universities, and taught at the School of Architecture in the University of Hong Kong and Syracuse University. He has been invited as a jury member for numerous international design competitions and to give lectures at many influential academic institutions in New York, Venice, Moscow, Rotterdam, Brussels and Singapore. MENG Yan was appointed chief curator of the Shenzhen Pavilion in 2010 Shanghai Expo, and is appointed to be one of the chief curators for 2017 Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\ Architecture (Shenzhen). Wan Jie Wan Jie is the Chairman of the Artron Art Group, member of CPPCC National Com- mittee, standing committee member of China Democratic League, committee mem- ber of China Federation of literary and Art Circles, and director of the China Art- ists Association. He is also the Founder and Vice Chairman of Beijing Palace Museum Cultural Relics Protection Foundation, the director and life member of the Alxa based SEE ecologic association, director of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and director of Taofen Foundation. He is the winner of ""National Labor Medal"", ""CCTV China Economic Person of the Year"" and ""Chinese Cultural Figure"". The company he leads has won all the world's top printing awards, a total of more than 1000.
