Mawunyo Gbogbo is the Music and Pop Culture Reporter at ABC Radio Sydney. In 2012, she received a United Nations Association of Australia Media Peace Award for Increasing Awareness and Understanding of Children's Rights and Issues for the Insight program, 'Generation XXX', broadcast on SBS TV. She has worked as a journalist for ABC News Radio, as a reporter for the flagship ABC Audio Current Affairs programs - AM, The World Today and PM and as a Segment Producer for The Today Show on the Nine Network. Her writing has been published in The Sydney Morning Herald. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Communication - Journalism) from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Technology Sydney. She was born in Ghana, raised in the NSW Hunter Valley and now calls Sydney home.
