For fans of Gladiator!

Flavius Belisarius is a man's man-a young and brilliant general who stands out among the power-hungry and conniving men of his class. Unlike his peers, Belisarius seeks the glory and restoration of Rome, driven by a deep sense of duty and a need for little else. Or so he thought.

Everything changes when he encounters the startlingly beautiful and notoriously promiscuous Antonina. Despite his awkwardness around women, he wins her heart. Yet, her affection proves as fickle as the winds. Called upon to reconquer an ancient Roman colony, Belisarius throws himself into the heat of battle, losing sight of everything else-until he discovers his wife in an enemy's cellar, entwined in the arms of another man. The sight is more devastating and grotesque than any scene he has faced on the battlefield, leaving a wound that cuts deeper than any sword.

Will the great general of Rome, Belisarius, buckle under the weight of a shattered heart? Or will he find the strength to stand, even as his spirit bleeds?

Flavius Belisarius is a tale of love, betrayal, and resilience set against the backdrop of a crumbling empire, exploring whether even the mightiest of men can overcome the wounds of the heart.
