Kate Simpson is a librarian at a public library, where she is in charge of ordering children's books and planning the summer reading program, as well as running field trips. She also works as a freelance proofreader. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Colby College and a master's degree in library science from Simmons College, and is a member of SCBWI and 12x12. A fan of typewriters and rainy days, she likes to look for animal tracks in the woods behind her house. She lives with her husband and two children in New England. The Paper Museum is her debut novel.
