Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD) was initiated by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) 11 years ago. Since then it has grown to become a national celebration of First Nations Peoples' Stories, Cultures, and Languages. The video below is from the ILD National Digital Event - an opportunity for all Australians to joyfully celebrate the multilingual and multi-literacy of First Nations children and experience a snippet of life in remote Communities.
As part of Abbey's support for the ILF we raise funds and bring awareness for this key initiative towards narrowing the gap and improving life outcomes for First Nations people.
A big THANK YOU to all of our customers who generously assist our fund-raising for the Foundation's work. We really appreciate it.
