"Sarina Peterson graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in economics and worked in education program evaluation for four years before veering off course to pursue her true calling: illustrating cartoon amoebas. She is a self-taught artist who eventually realized that there were other art programs available besides MS Paint. Although she never considered herself a science enthusiast, Sarina loves breaking down complicated science concepts with quirky cartoons in a way her younger self would have appreciated. She works out of her home studio in Dallas, Texas, living the introvert's dream with two doggy coworkers. When she's not infusing personality into microscopic organisms, Sarina enjoys playing video games, watching anime, reading comics, and letting her nerd flag fly high with her husband, Ross, and budding player 3, Rose. Brianna Rapini has dreamt of becoming a biology teacher since she was a little kid. After majoring in biology, her dream of teaching came true. Over the course of twelve years in public education, Brianna wore many hats, including classroom biology teacher, instructional technology specialist, campus science specialist, and district science coordinator. In a plot twist, Brianna and her sister, Sarina Peterson, stumbled into YouTube fame with the birth of their channel the Amoeba Sisters. The channel is renowned for its engaging illustrated cartoons that simplify complex biological concepts. Brianna serves as the channel’s voice and writer behind ""Pinky,"" the illustrated amoeba character on the channel. The Amoeba Sisters’ videos have become a staple for biology students and teachers alike. After Brianna went on to get her master's in biological sciences, she realized Amoeba Sisters will never run out of introductory biology content to cover. There's still so much biology to learn, and she loves to emphasize to viewers that she continues to learn new things that she didn't know all the time. When she is not immersed in channel work or new projects, Brianna finds solace in the outdoors, whether it's hitting the trails for a run or spending time with her family surrounded by trees in The Woodlands, Texas."
