ROB RAMSDEN lives and works in Suffolk as an illustrator and educator. He’s the dad of the boy who saw a bee! As a keen gardener, Rob has become the student, and the pollinators have become his teachers; his type of gardening is strictly about the wildlife.
‘Beautifully illustrated, with just the right amount of detail in both words and pictures for pre-schoolers. Slightly older children will be able to try reading it for themselves; and I’m certain that both listeners and readers alike will be eager to try growing their own pumpkin seeds.’ Books for Keeps;‘A gorgeous book to share with the young and likely to be the start of many adventures in the garden.’ LoveReading;‘A lovely addition to any bookshelf - and might just get your children interested in doing their own gardening.’ Booktrust;'This beautifully illustrated book is pitch perfect for little ones. They’ll love spotting all the minibeasts on every spread. I have no doubt that like the characters in the story, youngsters will be motivated to engage with nature, try planting some pumpkin seeds and become excited as they follow their development.' Red Reading Hub;‘The illustrations are lively and colourful, fitting well with the pace of the storytelling. Nature is celebrated on every page and readers will enjoy moving beyond the text to explore the various garden minibeasts that are dotted throughout the book.’ Children's Book Ireland
