Rev. Dr. Samira Izadi Page is the founder and Executive Director of Gateway of Grace Ministries. She was born and raised in Iran as a Muslim. After she and her family fled Iran and were granted political asylum in the U.S., Samira converted to Christianity. She earned her MDiv and doctorate from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. She works cross-denominationally with pastors and mission leaders and moves local congregations into new mission and outreach efforts.
"""The philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer speaks of a ""fusion of horizons."" This is what Mother Samira has accomplished between the biblical message about refugees and our own fraught moment. She leads us more deeply into what neighbor means. Her message is at once charitable, pertinent, and urgent. I commend it strongly to all."" —The Right Reverend Dr. George Sumner, Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas ""Samira Izadi Page knows firsthand the fragile plight of those who leave everything behind and must depend upon the neighborliness of strangers. In Who Is My Neighbor? she calls us to become proximate to people on the move, practicing a hospitality that changes us all in the process. Samira's life and work bear witness to the connection between experience and doctrine, both of which are rooted in the mission of God."" —Rev. Dr. George Mason, Senior Pastor, Wilshire Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas"
