David LaHuta is a Bermuda-based travel journalist whose been reporting on the island since he relocated to its pink sand shores in 2009. Originally from New York City, LaHuta has written about Bermuda for the New York Times, Travel+Leisure and AFAR and has also covered the country extensively as the host of the Bermuda Channel, a television network broadcast exclusively across the mid-Atlantic archipelago. He's profiled Bermuda as a correspondent for Outside Television, written in-depth online guides for Frommers.com and contributes videos, stories and social media dispatches from the English colony for Islands.com. An island expert, LaHuta reports on Bermuda and its Caribbean sister islands for publications including Outside, Delta SKY, Robb Report and Budget Travel, among others and he's been a contributor on CNN, Travel Channel and The Rachael Ray Show. A graduate of the University of Maryland College of Journalism, he enjoys boating, surfing and beach-combing with his wife and two sons near their home in Warwick.
