Joining Finger Rhymes and Hand Rhymes, a third collection - this time intended for slightly older children than the toddler audience of the earlier titles: the games and songs are more complex in action or tune, although still very simple. Twelve old favorites - like I'm a Little Teapot, John Brown's Baby and Do Your Ears Hang Low - are presented with full-color double-page spreads that represent either literal versions of the games or animals playing them. Each line has a tiny diagram representing the appropriate action, helpful to forgetful adults and completely understandable to reading children. Several of the tunes are included in the back of the book. Once again, Brown has produced an attractive and useful book that should prove popular for programs and circulation. (Kirkus Reviews)
