Dr. Tsesis describes the path he traversed from religious ignorance to strong belief in the Jewish religion. Tsesis assigns a special place to the proof of his conclusion that religion and science-especially in light of recent discoveries-are not antagonists, and are, in fact, in complete harmony, supplementing and not excluding each other. In the spirit of ecumenism Tsesis speaks about coexistence of different religions, which share the common objective of assurance of perpetual survival of the human race. The unifying theme of this book, however, is the beauty of the Jewish religion and a possible answer to the question of why we remain Jews.

Reviews for Why We Remain Jews: The Path to Faith

"""The material in the book is an interesting journey. This is an example of a scientist accepting that the complexity of life is real and that the likelihood of this complexity arising by chance is scientifically unlikely."" - Gerald L. Schroeder, author of ""God According to God: A Physicist Proves We've Been Wrong About God All Along"" ."" . . the writer reminds us of the uniqueness and irreplaceability of every separate individual each endowed with a unique personality. . . "" -- Inna Iohvidovich, author of ""My First Language is Russian"" ""The author's position--is a position of a person, who expresses creative inspired kindness; in his stories he reiterates the simple truths, propagating human values not in the form of trite words, but by providing specific examples and precise moral emphasis."" -- Vladimir Shpakov ""Vladimir Tsesis masterfully presents unforgettable episodes of his life. He is enlightening--because he is not a dispassionate observer. He does not provide a direct judgment of the particular situation, but the reader definitely feels it."" -- Michael Fedorenko"
